FROM HOUSTON TO MAINE TO ST. AUGUSTINE, ICE OUT! ICE thugs have committed yet another murder, this time right here in Florida. This comes on the heels of the murders of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston last week and Joan Sebastian Guerrero in Maine just a few days ago.

These deaths are the direct result of the Trump administration’s war on immigrant communities, a war which is now demanding agents arrest 2,000 people per day, and which aims to rip legal protection away from over 1 million immigrants here with Temporary Protected Status.

After the people of Minnesota organized strikes and shutdowns, ICE tried for several months to “stay out of the headlines.” But ICE’s overall aggressive and violent approach has continued with new tactics, expanded targets, and now a massive budget.

The vast majority of this country opposes the racist deportation drive Trump is waging in our communities. Now we must stand up and refuse to allow this violence to go unchallenged.
